The event
MillionX Bangladesh ran two connected events in Dhaka in January 2026, built around the goal of “creating a million 10x AI minds”:
- National AI Build-a-thon (16 January, Daffodil Plaza). 384 teams registered from across the country, and 62 finalist teams (172 innovators) presented AI solutions in AgriTech, HealthTech, EdTech, e-commerce and FinTech.
- Genesis AI Conference (17 January, University of Asia Pacific). Policymakers, academics, industry leaders and international tech experts on Bangladesh’s AI future: the country’s talent ecosystem, innovation infrastructure and a Bangladesh AI Action Charter with 30, 60 and 90-day milestones.
My role
I was the event scribe, documenting both days as they happened.
- Session summaries. What each session covered, which speaker said what, the key arguments and quotes, and the decisions and commitments that came out of it.
- Participant interviews. I talked to Build-a-thon participants about their projects and their experience of the event.
- Written report. I brought the summaries and interviews together into a full written report, so the organizers had a complete record to work from afterwards.
